Children's Book

How cute are these guys, they are inspired by a book I want to write for children. They have names, ages, shapes, and different colors which is fun for the average toddler. I am still working on it, and hopefully I can find a publisher.
Wish me Luck!

Mermaids

These two little mermaids are inspired by the sea. The top one looks somewhat like Ariel, and the bottom blue one, has wavy hair, such as in the ocean. I wanted them to have a somber expression, because they are sad, and lonely in the ocean, but yet beautiful because they are made from mother nature. I first wanted to go in, with the prismacolor pencils, so I used regular sketching paper, but I wanted to give them more of an "oceany" feel, so I decided to use water colors. The trick to keep the paper from un-wrinkling, was to let the water color dry, under a book. This kept the paper straight enough to use markers, pencils, and so on, after. I think they are pretty cute...do you?

Illustrations

I have been into illustrations lately since,  i purchased my Prismacolor pencils. I have to say I love them, they are great with blending, and the colors are so vibrant, and they look great in photos. Now I know why they are so expensive, but well worth it. I have a couple of piecess that I really love, but I am working on getting my own look, and these pieces, are really what I enjoy, as far as simplicity, fashion, and realness. Hope you like!
